The first time I met him, I figured Richard Tyrie for the YTS trainee flogging space on a jobs board. Five years later, he’s one of the most interesting thinkers I know. Turns out he always was a thinker, just I didn’t recognise it. We have lunch, and he gives me a book, with the words ‘you’ll f*ckin’ love this… let me know what you think’. He was right. I f*ckin’ loved it, and I let him know what I thought.
